The challenge
CareCopilot is a web and mobile application that saves friend and family caregivers time and money as they take care of the people they love. Next year, CareCopilot will roll out a new feature that allows individuals to start earning cash rewards that will get deposited into a virtual account for their loved ones. Users can then spend that money on their loved one's care, in-app or offline. My job was to design a single page of the web app that will educate users on how they can earn rewards and check their rewards balance.
Problem and Solution
1 out of every 7 Americans –approximately 50 million total– are taking care of an adult loved one right now. If you’re taking care of someone, you'll likely spend more than $7,200 per year of your own money financing their care.
Users can earn rewards by connecting any debit or credit card that they own to CareCopilot, referring a friend to the app and using an in-app cost-of-care calculator to calculate how much their loved one pay need for their future care.

I took on market research and came across one of the top two competitors in the cash rewards space. I downloaded each of the mobile applications noting opportunities and design choices to consider when designing CareCopilot's rewards page.
A user flow helped me visualize how Cameron, a first-time user, would navigate the CareCopilot website and onboarding process to start earning cash rewards.
I sketched out several pages worth of design concepts coming up with many possibilities for how the cash rewards page might look.

Financial support for caring for a loved one
Users can view the balance of their cash reward accounts. They can also link a debit or credit card, estimate costs for caring for a loved one using the in-app cost-of-care calculator, and redeem their earnings as soon as they reach the $25 threshold.
I created original illustrations to polish up brand identity and identified the primary site colors.
Users can also look at their transaction history to track spending and rewards earned.
